Re-locating can be an expensive business but there is financial support available for GPs returning to practice in certain parts of England.
This extra support is part of a pilot called the Targeted Investment in Recruiting Returning Doctors scheme. It means if you re-locate and take up a position at one of the 50 agreed pilot sites you could receive up to £10,000 support. This includes up to £8,000 of re-location allowances and a £2,000 educational bursary for your personal development.
There’s more information about the scheme here. This includes a list of the practices involved in the scheme.
Once you’ve registered for the Induction and Refresher Scheme your dedicated account manager will share more information with you about how to access the relocation support available.
